Carolyn L. Taylor, M.S., PA-C
Carolyn has worked with Dr. Naim since 2008, after earning her Master of Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Western University.
She assists Dr. Naim in surgery, consults with new patients interested in surgical or non-surgical weight loss and diet supplements, evaluates post-operative patients in the hospital and in the clinic setting, performs LAP-BAND and Realize Band adjustments, and is available for patient education and counseling.
Lailla, T Vincent, BS, MA
Office Manager/ Patient Coordinator
Lailla earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management, in addition to completing a medical assistant training program, and she is equipped with over 20 years of experience. She is committed to guiding patients through the process of gaining insurance approval for surgery, as well as continuing patient education, counseling, and support before and after surgery. Lailla works closely with Dr. Naim and his patients to ensure the best patient care possible.
Dori Zerlin, MS, RD
Dori is a Registered Dietitian and has her Masters degree in Nutrition. She provides nutrition information on the management or prevention for the following issues: adult and childhood obesity, gastric bypass surgery, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, metabolic syndrome X, diabetes mellitus, irritable bowel syndrome, celiac disease, nutritional supplementation, eating disorders, polycystic ovary syndrome, weight loss resistance, weight maintenance, and more.
Dori's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Health Promotion & Disease Prevention from the University of Southern California. Additionally she completed her Masters degree and Coordinated Didactic Nutrition Program at California State University, Los Angeles. Her extensive dietetic internship experience included such sites as UCLA Medical Center and Kaiser Permanente. Her outpatient/private practice experience began with the opportunity to experience educating children and adolescents in a pediatric weight loss program called Power Play conducted and designed by Dr. Hazan in Beverly Hills.
At the Advanced Bariatric Center, Dori conducts nutrition consultations, assessments, pre-op and post-op education for Dr. Naim's patients. In addition to Dori's passion for providing clients with proper guidance to achieve optimal health, she also practices what she preaches. She enjoys exercising daily whether it be at the gym lifting weights, circuit training, or doing Pilates/Yoga, as well as cooking healthy and delicious meals at home.
Dori is a member of the American Dietetic Association (ADA), the California Dietetic Association (CDA), and the Los Angeles Dietetic Association (LAD).
